You must read Peter Wolf's blog - Vox Felina

Whether of not you support Trap/Neuter/Return, you must read Peter Wolf's latest blog post on Vox Felina.  It is absolutely unbelievable that Nico Dauphine is highly regarded in the conservation community.  After reading this it is obvious to me that she is, at the very least, vindictive.  At the worst?  I'll leave that up to you to determine.

  1. I don't believe everything I read on the Internet. If even 1/4 of what Vox Felina says was true, wouldn't this woman have been taken to court (and convicted) a long time ago?
What ever happened to "innocent until proven guilty"? The story we're being fed doesn't add up right.

    1. Please google the case. I am an DC-area attorney who followed this case with a fine-tooth comb. The defendant was caught inadvertantly on the building's crime-prevention surveillance video-tape so there was no bias in the eye-witness evidence. Previously, the local SPCA in FL refused to accept any cat she brought in because she had a well-documented history, through their and other local shelter records, of trapping and neglecting some 100+ cats -- many were neighbors' pets; and, most perhaps most significantly, her statements under oath were those of a damaged soul with a mental disability -- all too familiar to those of us who deal with the criminal justice system. The case records are public and available through the D.C Superior Court. Ms. Dauphine is to be more pitied than scorned, which is not the way anyone would describe a "hero". Anne Benaroya, Esq. 2. Thanks for posting. I'm not certain the previous commenter is interested in the truth or that he/she will see your comment, unfortunately.

Question- are you saying that Dauphine is in Florida now? If so, I'd like to know since I have many friends still active in TNR here.

  2. Not everything on the internet is true - that's a given. Neither is everything you hear on TV or the radio. That's why it's important to be informed. Vox Felina has been blogging about the case against Nico Dauphin for months. You might want to read all of them. And he does his research. Personally, because I've followed his blog since its inception, I have complete faith in his posts. Don't trust me, don't trust him - do your own research. The info is out there.

  3. BTW - is there a reason you didn't leave your name, Anonymous? Even if you didn't want to sign in with an email (which isn't shown), you could have signed your name.

I would recommend googling Nico Duaphine if you're interested in more info about her and the case pending against her for poisoning neighborhood cats.

  4. I have seen some of this before. But I don't actually see much info out there. As far as I see, Vox Felina and others commenting have no more information than was given in brief local network news stories. No one else has claimed to actually have interviewed those involved in the case (and they probably can't anyway, since it is still in court).
Vox Felina's research in Georgia has numerous gaps (that he sort of acknowledged), much is unverifiable, and is decidedly one sided. Seems like a dubious source to me. Again, if even some of it were true, don't you think she would have been arrested before? The story still doesn't add up right.

  5. I remain Anonymous for now because people, like Dr. Dauphine, can get quite viciously attacked when they don't.
